Hi, I'm Mickey (a/k/a/ Dean Ween) of the band Ween. since I first picked up a guitar in 1982 I always wanted the same guitar my teacher owned, a vintage 1966 Fender Stratocaster. Now while I DID in fact on a Stratocaster it wasn't made with quality that his was. I had a new Japanese made model, his had the mojo and attention to detail that only came with guitars handmade by Leo Fender at his shop in California. I didn't have any money back then to be able to afford such an instrument either. Later, when that all changed I discovered that it wasn't as simple as just picking any pre 1966 fender and having it be "the one." every guitar is different u see, just as every piece of wood is different. Through trial and error I eventually found some that I will never let go for the rest of my life. And then along came Zak----he offered to build me one to my specific liking, taking measurements and weights and heights of all of my beloved vintage guitars (of many different brands). The guitar pictured is the result of painstaking consultations and I can honestly say that is my current go-to guitar---it meets and exceeds all of the qualities of my beloved Fenders. If you are a serious musician and want a serious guitar meant for the long haul, then you need to talk to my boy.
